As of January 1, 2010, Hawaii requires all new homes to have a solar hot water heating system installed. As part of that law, inspections by a qualified third-party are required under the standards issued by the Public Utilities Commission.

Pacific SBS specializes in third-party performance inspections and efficiency program verification. We are pleased to announce that we now offer Solar Hot Water system inspections as well. This can be either a stand-alone service, or bundled with any of the other services we offer. We conduct a thorough 100 point inspection for such things as proper solar orientation and angle, correct system size, correct piping and bracing. We will also check to make sure that pumps are working properly, thermostats are set correctly, and ensure there are no leaks.
