The Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has recently developed rigorous building envelope leakage testing protocols for military buildings under which Pacific SBS has conducted air infiltration testing throughout Hawaii and Guam .

When a building envelope leaks, it allows heat and moisture-laden air into the building, causing the HVAC system to work harder. If there is not enough heat-load to activate the HVAC system, the moisture is not properly removed from the building which can lead to numerous facility issues.
